As mentioned in this post last month, November was a busy month with various speaking engagements delivering two sessions at the SharePoint Connect conference in Amsterdam and another at the SharePoint Saturday UK event in Leicestershire, UK.
Both conferences were amazingly well attended and organized making them a pleasure to be a part of and speak at, so I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thanks to all those involved in making these events happen.
The slides for the sessions I presented at the SharePoint Connect Conference can be found below:
At SharePoint Saturday UK, I presented the second of a two part series around configuring SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 Hybrid scenarios:
This session covered some of the more advanced SharePoint hybrid scenarios such as Federated Single Sign on and the Inbound Hybrid Search topology, demonstrating how search results from an on-premises SharePoint environment can be surfaced in SharePoint Online.
Although I've been working with and talking about SharePoint Hybrid for some time now, one of the interesting things about this space is how rapidly the technology is changing and being improved. The talks I give around Hybrid SharePoint are constantly being updated as a result, and there's been some new areas of discussion, which I hope to blog about in the not so distant future. Some of these areas include the new Azure Active Directory Sync tool, the Inbound Hybrid Search scenario mentioned above, and consuming on-premises Business Data Connectivity Services in SharePoint online. Stay tuned for more detail on these!
As always, if you have any questions or feedback feel free to get in touch, and have a very Merry Christmas!
