BrightStarr & Linklaters wins Best Information Management Solution

Recently BrightStarr was shortlisted as a finalist at the European IT and Software Excellence Awards that recognize the very best enterprise technology solutions in Europe over the last year. Among the many categories was Linklaters’ new knowledge management solution, designed and developed by BrightStarr. The winners of these prestigious awards were announced last Wednesday at an awards dinner in central London, and we are proud to announce that Linklaters' SharePoint Intranet won Best Storage/Information Management Solution of the Year!

Linklaters’ Intranet project was focused on providing employees with ready access to trusted knowledge in an effort to increase productivity across the global organization. Working within such a knowledge driven industry makes accessing Linklaters' global accumulated knowledge essential to empowering its people, and subsequently business success. With these goals in mind Linklaters chose SharePoint as their platform of choice. They wanted to capitalize on the power of the SharePoint 2013 native search functionality to make content more findable.

They supported the power of SharePoint native search capabilities by developing a unified global taxonomy for tagging content and information within the Intranet. In addition they took a holistic view of their old Intranet materials and content and during the migration phase of the project only moved current and valuable content across to the new platform. This ensured that the information staff were finding and using was as valuable and up to date as possible.
